What to do when you can't clock in on the mobile application

Occasionally, you may receive certain error messages when you try to clock in with the Atlas Scheduling app. This article explains the most common reasons and how to resolve them.

Important: An Internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, LTE, and so on) is required. At all times, please ensure that your connection is sufficiently stable and strong.

Out of radius

This means that you must be within a zone determined by your employer in relation to your place of work in order to clock in. If you receive this error message, it means you're not in the zone.

I'm at the correct address, but I can't clock in

There are several reasons why you may not be able to clock in even though you're at the right address.

The most common is that the GPS on your device needs a little time to update. If your application was open in the background, sometimes your GPS saves another address. To solve this problem, simply close the application, reopen it, and try pointing again.

If it still doesn't work, enable precise location in your device's location settings. See this article for more information on precise localization and why Atlas Scheduling needs this option enabled.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, then it's possible that the address and location point are not properly configured in your organization's account settings, or that the radius is too small. Contact your manager directly to make the necessary adjustments.

Mandatory suggested real time

Your employer may have authorized you to clock out outside the radius. To do this, you must enter the actual time you left, and the reason why.

If you don't enter this information, you'll receive an error message. Simply enter the requested information and you'll be able to clock out.

Unauthorized mobile clock-in

If you get the message Clocking from mobiles is not allowed, it means that your employer has not authorized clocking in and out from the mobile application.

Refer to your manager to learn how you can clock in and out.
