You may try to enter your new password, but your browser automatically adds the previous one. Here's how to remove the automatic entry and enter your information manually.
Google Chrome
In the top right-hand corner, click on the three small vertical dots.
Select Passwords and autofill.
On the left, select Google Password Manager.
You'll be in the Passwords tab; click on Settings in the left-hand menu.
Disable Offer to save passwords by toggling this switch off.
Mozilla Firefox
In the top-right corner of Firefox, click the three lines atop one another.
Select Settings from the menu.
From the left-hand menu, select Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to Passwords.
Uncheck Ask to save passwords. This will also disable Fill usernames and passwords automatically.
Microsoft Edge
In the top-right corner, click on the three small horizontal dots.
Select Passwords from the menu.
Under Microsoft Password Manager, select More settings.
Toggle the Autofill passwords and passkeys switch off. You can also disable Ask to save password and passkeys if you wish.
