Have you or your employees noticed that breaks are automatically removed from their timesheets, or that the time taken doesn't match the time displayed on the timesheet? This means that you have activated break automation settings.
You can easily validate the settings you've set and deactivate them if necessary.
IMPORTANT: Only Administrators can validate and modify this information. If you are not an administrator, please refer to one for further support.
Click on Settings from the left-hand navigation menu.
Click on the Attendance submenu.
Scroll down to the Automation section.
Under Break management there are two options that can be activated, affecting your employees' breaks:
Automatically add planned breaks to timesheet if recorded breaks are too short or missing
If this setting is activated, the full scheduled break will be deducted if the employee does not clock in at all or does not clock out in full.
For example, if the employee had a 30 minute unpaid break scheduled and clocks in 23 minutes, the system will automatically adjust the duration of the break on the timesheet to remove 30 minutes.
Automatically add an unpaid break to timesheet after a set number of continuous work hours
If this setting is enabled, the set duration will be automatically deducted after the set number of consecutive hours.
For example, if the setting is set to a 30 minute break after 6h, all employees who have clocked in a shift lasting 6h or more will have 30 minutes unpaid break deducted automatically.
