Occasionally, you may receive certain error messages when you try to clock in via the Rotas and Workforce Management mobile application.

This article explains the most common reasons and how to resolve them.

Please note that an internet connection (WIFI, 3G, 4G, LTE, etc.) is required for pointing. At all times, please ensure that your connection is sufficiently stable and strong.

1- Out of radius

Mobile clock is geolocated. This means that you must be within a zone determined by your employer in relation to your place of work in order to clock in.

If you receive this error message, it means you're not in the zone.

Q-I'm at the correct address, but I can't clock in.

There are several reasons why you may not be able to clock in even though you're at the right address.

The most common is that the GPS on your device needs a little time to update.

In fact, especially when your application was open in the background, sometimes your GPS saves another address, so when you try to clock, it doesn't work.

To solve this problem, simply close the application, reopen it and try pointing again.

If it still doesn't work, make sure that precise location is enabled in your device's location settings.

See this article for more information on precise localisation and why Rotas and Workforce Management needs this option enabled.

If all else fails, it's possible that the address and location point are not properly configured in your account settings, or that the radius is too small.

We therefore invite you to contact your manager directly, who will be able to make the necessary adjustments.

To do so, simply use the Rotas and Workforce Management Messenger.

2- Mandatory suggested real time

Your employer may have authorised you to clock out outside the radius. To do this, you must enter the actual time you left, and the reason why.

If this information is not entered, you will receive an error message.

Simply enter the requested information and you'll be able to clock out.

3- Unauthorised mobile clock-in

If you get the message 'Clocking from mobiles is not allowed', it means that your employer has not authorised clocking in and out via the mobile application.

Refer to your manager, who will be able to tell you how you can clock in and out.

You can message your manager quicky, simply use the Rotas and Workforce Management Messenger.
