Administrators can set up automatic deduction of breaks from timesheets. This can save your employees the hassle of clocking their breaks and having to reconcile break punches.
This article explains how to set this up!
1 - Use scheduled break time
If you want to ensure that a scheduled unpaid break is deducted in full, even if it hasn't been clocked in correctly or has simply been forgotten;
1 - Click on the Atlas Scheduling > Settings tab
2 - Select the Attendance submenu
3 - Scroll down to the Automation section
4 - Activate the toggle for Automatically add planned breaks to timesheet if recorded breaks are too short or missing option.
For this automation to work, note that the break must always be added to your employees' schedule, and the schedule must be published.
You can create automatic break rules so that breaks are automatically added to your schedule! Find out how by clicking here.
2 - Deduct a break after a certain number of hours worked
If you wish to automatically deduct an unpaid break after a certain number of consecutive working hours without having to indicate it on the schedule;
1 - Click on the Atlas Scheduling > Settings tab
2 - Select the Attendance submenu
3 - Scroll down to the Automation section
4 - Activate the Automatically add an unpaid break to timesheet after a set number of continuous hours option.
