Creating a rotating or reoccurring schedule automatically

Why use the recurrence feature?

The recurrence feature allows you to create shifts that repeat automatically moving forward, similar to apps like Google Calendar.

Here are some examples where you may want to use the feature:

  • The employee schedule is the same every week.

  • You have a rotation in your schedules: every two weeks, every three weeks, and so on.

Setting a recurrence

  1. Create a new shift or select an existing one.

  2. Enter all the information necessary if you are creating a new shift.

  3. Click the Recurrence tab.

Options

Repeats

You must first select whether the shift recurs weekly or monthly.

Frequency, days, and end

Once you've selected the basis, you can select:

  • The weekly or monthly Repeat frequency: adjust the value according to the desired frequency. Example: If the shift repeats every two weeks, enter 2 in the Repeat frequency field.

  • Choose the Days of the week where this shift will apply.

  • Set when the recurrence must End: after a set number of shifts, on a specific date, or indefinitely.

Summary

On the right, you can view a summary of the recurring shift you're about to create before saving.
