1 - Save an existing schedule as a template

One way to create a template is to save a current week as a template.

To do this, first select the correct week in the planner and, if necessary, filter the desired position(s) in the filters on the left.

  1. Click on the More (...) button to the left of the Publish button;

  2. Click on Schedule templates;

  3. Click on Save week;

  4. Name your template;

  5. Click on Create.

2 - Create a schedule template

To create a new schedule template from scratch, first go to the Schedule tab in the main menu on the left, to access the scheduler.

If you wish to create the template for a specific position(s) and not all of them, simply select the position(s) in the position filters on the left.

  1. Press the More (...) button to the left of the Publish button;

  2. Click on Shift templates > Manage Templates

    Click on Create;

5. Name your template;

6. Select the location (if applicable).

7. Click on Create

Then create the schedule in the same way as you would in the scheduler.

Your template will be automatically saved, so you can simply click on the "x" in the top right corner to return to the scheduler.

3 - Use Schedule templates

Once you've created templates, you can use them to create your schedule in just a few clicks!

  1. Click on the More (...) button to the left of the Publish button;

  2. Click on Schedule templates > Import to Schedule

  3. Select the template you wish to import.

  4. Check the desired option(s) under the Conflict management section

  5. Click Apply template.

Important :

When you import a Schedule template, active filters will be taken into account

This means that if you filter the "cashier" position, for example, and try to import a complete template for all positions, only the shifts associated with the filtered position will be imported.

So be sure to adjust your filters according to the desired result before importing the template.

If you are unable to import a Schedule template to your Schedule

If you don't have any Schedule templates to import, or a specific Schedule template is not available to import

Schedule templates do not look at recurring shifts - so check to make sure you have non-recurring shifts on the missing schedule template by following the instructions to Manage existing templates below. Once you've made the adjustments to the template as needed they will appear available to import.

4 - Manage existing templates

You can easily edit or duplicate your templates.

  1. Click on the More (...) button, located to the left of the Publish button;

  2. Click on Schedule templates > Manage templates

  3. Click on the three dots to the right of the desired template.

  4. Select an option from Edit, Duplicate or Delete.

5 - Role restrictions

Managers can save a week as a template, modify a template and import it into the schedule.

Supervisors can only import a template into the schedule.
