Why can't I use a shift template for my employee?

1 - Check to ensure the template you want to use is for the position you expect.

If you try to assign a shift template to an employee, but you don't see it, the first thing to check is that the template you created is associated with position you expect.

To access shift templates from Atlas Scheduling > Schedule > click the more (...) button > Shift template, shown below.

Then, locate the shift template you want to assign, and confirm that the Position you expect is listed there, as shown below:

2 - Make sure the employee has the position the template was made for

When you create a shift for an employee from a template, you will only see the templates associated with the positions in that employee's profile.

If you enter the template name in the search bar and no results appear, this means that the employee does not have the position in his profile.

To add a position to the employee's profile, go to the user's individual profile and check their positions from Atlas Scheduling > HR > Employees > Roles and Positions. You can then assign the position as shown below:
