With Atlas Scheduling, you have different ways to distribute tips. This article tells you what they are and how to set them up.

Tip distribution methods

You can choose a tip distribution method for each convention. Atlas Scheduling support four different methods.

Individual

Employees submit the tips they've received, and the amount is not divided. Note: Employees can add their tips when they clock out.

Fair

Employees submit the tips they receive, and the amount is divided equitably among the employees who were working. Note: Employees can add their tips when they clock out.

Points

Allocate a number of Points that each position working earns per hour, which is used to calculate the distribution of tips by taking the total tipping pool and dividing by the number of points earned to determine a number of dollars per point, and distributed to each employee based on the points earned.

Percentage

Tips are divided according to the percentage associated with each position and based on the hours worked in each position.

Different methods for different locations

You can have a different tip distribution method for each location. After adding your new tip pool, enable Default tip pool by location and choose the desired tip pool. If you do not see this setting, check Settings > Locations to ensure you have more than one location.

Different methods for different conventions

As with locations, you can have a different tip distribution method for each convention. Simply click Add and configure the settings.
