How should I use a shift premiums multiplier?

Understanding shift premiums multipliers

When to use multipliers

The premiums module allows the computation of the shift premiums to be altered by a multiplier of your choice.

This is useful if you do not use an external payroll system, as it can automatically multiply the number of hours worked at the premium rate.

Example: 10 hours worked at a 1.5 times rate will provide 15 hours of work on the pay period export.

However, if you do use a payroll system, we strongly suggest not using multipliers, as doing so would incorrectly increase the number of hours worked, instead of splitting worked hours and premium quantities.

Adding a multiplier

Multipliers can easily be added at the last step of the shift premiums creation process.
