Sometimes the overtime you expect and the overtime indicated in Atlas Scheduling won't match. This article explains how overtime calculation works, as well as how to confirm that your settings are correctly set.
Understanding overtime calculation
First, you need to understand how Atlas Scheduling calculates overtime.
You can set a value per day (daily) and per week (weekly).
If an employee exceeds daily overtime but not weekly overtime, or if they exceed weekly overtime, you'll see daily overtime as follows in their timesheet:
If weekly overtime is greater than or equal to daily overtime, overtime is displayed on the last day of the week.
Overtime settings not properly set up
If you believe that the calculation is wrong for your employee despite accounting for the difference between daily and weekly overtime, check the following settings.
Organization settings (accessible to administrators only)
Confirm that the overtime settings for the organization are correctly set up under Settings > General.
Employee profile settings
The employee may also have an individual overtime threshold set in their profile. You can check this in the employee's profile under Settings.
Recalculation
Please note that if the settings have been modified at the end of the period, past timesheets will not be adjusted.
If you need the change to apply to your employee's timesheet, simply modify their timesheet (for example, add one minute and remove it), and a recalculation will be performed.
