How to Create a Working Day Profile
You have two options:
1. Copy a Standard Working Day Profile
Choose this if your employees follow typical patterns within the Jurisdiction in which you operate (Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, etc).
Each standard profile includes the correct holidays for that jurisdiction.
To copy:
Find Standard non-working days and statutory holiday profiles.
Click the actions button next to the profile you want.
Select Copy & Update.
Edit the name and description as needed.
2. Create a New Working Day Profile
Choose Custom non-working days and statutory holiday profiles.
Click Add to start a new profile.
This is best if you need a unique pattern (for example, part-time or shift workers).
You can choose any days as non-working and add any statutory holidays.
You must still edit three key areas to customize the profile for your needs.
Customizing Your Working Day Profile
Changing the Working Days
Use the toggle buttons for each day (Monday–Sunday).
Mark which days are working and which are non-working.
Non-working days cannot be booked for holidays or absences.
If someone works only certain Saturdays, mark Saturday as a working day. You can later adjust for exceptions.
Changing the Working Hours
After selecting working days, set the working hours for each day.
These hours affect how holidays and absences are calculated.
For example, if you set 7am–2pm, holidays booked will reflect these hours.
Setting Additional Non-Working Days
Add extra non-working days (like company shutdowns or special closures).
These days will block time off and absence bookings for everyone with this profile.
The system will show these days in the employee’s record.
Statutory Holidays
If you copied a standard profile, statutory holidays are already included.
If you created a new profile, add statutory holidays as needed.
Saving Your Profile
Click “Save” or “Update” at the bottom of the page.
To assign the profile, go to the employee’s record and select the profile in the “Employment Record” tab.
To check if a profile is assigned, look in the “Job” sub-tab of an employee’s record.
