Why hide shifts’ end?

In certain industries such as restaurants and events, a shift end time might be flexible. For this reason, you may wish to simply display the start time of a shifts and hide the end time.

You still need an end time when creating the shift for projection purposes, but this allows you simplify the schedule and reduce employee confusion for these types of shifts.


A) Enabling the setting to hide the shift end time

  1. Click on the Settings menu in the left menu bar

  2. Click on the Scheduling section at the top of the page

  3. Toggle the option to Allow hiding shift end to employee

    *You can also activate this setting by default

IMPORTANT
When you check "Hide the end time of shifts by default," all shifts will have hidden end times.


B) How to use the setting

  • A new check box named Hide end time to employee will appear in each shift creation window

  • The shift will then have a pale end time in the Schedule

  • If you enabled "hide the end time of shifts by default," as you might expect. Should you wish your employee to see the end time for a specific shift, you will have to uncheck it from the individual shift, example shown below:
