How do I update documents in Atlas?

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to Your Area

  • Dashboard > My Area > Documents

2. Access Company Documents

  • Choose the ‘Company Documents’ subfolder.

3. Find and Update Your Document

  • Locate the document you want to update.

  • Click on ‘Actions’.

  • Select ‘Update’ from the dropdown menu.

  • From here you can update:

    • The content of the document, by uploading a replacement document

    • The name of the document being updated

    • The description

    • Leave notes.

    • Set an expiry date for the document

    • Adjust the category

    • Specify which site(s) the document it applies to.

    • Track the version number of the change

4. Special Document Types

  • Handbooks, Policies, and Contract Templates:
    Only consultants can update these documents.

  • Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures:
    Update these from the Health and Safety section, not from Company Documents.

5. Important Note for Health and Safety Documents

  • The Health and Safety document suite stores only the PDF version of live Risk assessments and Safe Operating Procedures.
